Failed USB Connection

Failed USB Connection

Press the power button on the audiometer again, wait for the slow blinking LED light, and then click on the Connect button a second time. If the connection fails a second time, check the following:

1. Open the Device Manager by clicking on the Device Manager button next to the Connect button:

         a. Verify that the serial number matches the device.

         b. Verify that the connection method is “USB.”

         c. Verify that the audiometer is specified as the Default audiometer.

2. Ensure that the USB cable is properly attached to the OTOPod and a USB port on the computer.

3. Try unplugging and re-inserting the USB cable into the computer. There should be some kind of audible or visual response to indicate that Windows recognizes the USB device.

4. If the audiometer LED light blinks rapidly (faster than once per second) for an extended period of time, the batteries may be low. Attach the audiometer to external power using the power supply and re-connect.
