System Administration
Booking and Timetable:
There have been changes made to the Booking and Timetable portion of AuditBase. This has improved the reliability of the system when there are multiple users on the system. The previous restriction of 250 symbols has also been lifted due to the changes in this aspect of the database.
The Booking screen has been redesigned to accommodate some new features within the Timetable and Calendar. The main feature of this is the ability to create appointments using 5 minute slots. This function is activated within the System Administration portion of the database and is an irreversible change. Prior to making this change it is important to consider the performance speed of the database as this alteration can have a negative impact on the performance of the database.
If the decision is made to make the change then it is done as seen below:
A warning will appear to inform the Administrator that there are changes able to be made within this screen which might be harmful to the database as a whole. This screen should only be opened if the intention is to change the current timetable setup to newly available 5 minute slots.
Once the warning has been accepted then the next screen will be opened:
Booking Module
Appointment units:
As part of a significant change to the database structure AuditBase will now allow for appointments to be made outside the standard 15-minute appointment slots. It is possible to now have appointment slots which are 5 minute denominations. Be aware that having 5 minute units means that three times as much data is moved around so performance in the booking module may be slower.
This change is a part of the Administrators responsibility and will be a permanent change to the database.
Once the change has been applied, the ability to alter the screen will look as below:
If your site has changed the appointment times; then you should be able to alter the view so that you can view the appointments in the appropriate appointment slots.
When making the appointment for the patient the options for the appointment times will have changed from 15 minute units to 5 minute units:
If the appointment slot view does not match with the appointments which have been booked, then the screen will show the appointments in a minimised form.
The picture below demonstrates the appointments in the 5-minute format. Below the information is the same however it is in 15 minute blocks.
