Patient notification functionality allows clinics to send information to their patients about scheduled appointments.
Notifications are sent if:
- Notification/Message template exists;
- A patient gave their consent to receive notifications;
- During transmission hours (9 am to 5 pm). The time zone is defined by location.
Patient notification types by purpose:
- Appointment confirmation (sent 15 minutes after an appointment is set up in Scheduler)
- Appointment reminder (sent 48 hours before the appointment's date)
- Marketing
If the Patient answers configuration is set up, patients can send a message in response to communicate with the clinic (e.g., to confirm or cancel the appointment).
Available answers and appointment statuses mapped to them are present in the PATIENT ANSWERS section under the notification templates settings.
