Patient settings

Consents

Patient notification consents are pre-configured. You can add consent text, change the contact method and determine the expiration period for this type of consent.
To do so, hover over the respective field, click  < EDIT or click into the field.
Opt in by default - select if you want to make this type of consent the preferred option for patients.

Custom fields

In cases when it is needed to make patient information more detailed, users can configure additional fields. These fields will appear on the ADDITIONAL INFO tab in the PATIENT MODULE. 
When no custom fields are defined, the ADDITIONAL INFO tab is not shown in the PATIENT module.
  1. To add a field, drag the corresponding element from the TOOLBOX on the right.
  2. Edit , delete  or move   the field up/down the list by hovering over this field and using the corresponding control.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to PREVIEW FORM or SAVE.
If a field is marked 'Required', the system will recognize it as necessary for completion. For those patients that do not have this field completed on their Patient Card, Manage will show a warning .

Discharge patient reasons [UK-specific]

On this tab, you can add reasons to release a patient from care (e.g., discharge to a GP for reassessment referral, inappropriate referral, hearing aids declined by patient).

To create a discharge patient reason, click +DISCHARGE PATIENT REASON. On the dialog, specify:
  1. Reason - name of the patient discharge reason;
  2. Description - additional information about the reason (optional).
The list of added discharge patient reasons can be ordered any available parameter. You can search the list by: reason, description. 

Mandatory fields

When adding a new patient or lead, you can select which fields will be necessary to complete. Mandatory fields are marked with an asterisk (*).

Marital statuses

Here you can specify which marital statuses will be available for selection when creating a patient or lead. The list of added statuses can be ordered by: state, name.

Medical referral reasons

Medical referral reasons are reasons for referring a patient from an audiologist back to a GP or other doctor. To add a referral reason, click +MEDICAL REFERRAL REASON. On the dialog, specify:
  1. Category - category defined in this field can be used to group medical referral reasons;
  2. Reason - name of the referral reason.
The list of added medical referral reasons can be ordered by any available parameter. You can search the list by: category, reason.

Medical referral destinations

Medical referral destinations allow users to specify where a patient is being referred for further treatment (GP, ENT, any other doctor, or private service).  To add a medical referral destination, click +MEDICAL REFERRAL DESTINATION. 

The list of added medical referral destinations can be ordered by any available parameter. You can search the list by: destinations.

Suffixes

On this tab, create a list of suffixes (JR, SR, OBE, PhD, BSc, etc.) that can be used alongside patients' names on the Patient Card.

Titles

On this tab, create formal titles that can be applied when referring to patients (Mr., Mrs., Ms., Dr., etc.).

Referral cancellation reasons [UK-specific]

You can define reasons for canceling referrals (e.g., referral is canceled by GP, referral is canceled by patient, etc.).
To add a referral cancellation reason, click +CANCELLATION REASON. On the dialog, specify:
  1. Reason - name of the referral cancellation reason;
  2. Description - additional information about the reason (optional).
The list of added referral cancellation reasons can be ordered by state (active/inactive and reason). You can search the list by: reason, description.

Referral GP letters [UK-specific]

Here you can define letter codes that refer to the type of letter sent to a GP. To add a referral GP letter code, click +REFERRAL GP LETTER. On the dialog, specify:
  1. GP letter - a free-format code (both numbers and letters can be used);
  2. Description - additional information about the GP letter code (optional).
The list of added referral GP letters can be ordered any available parameter. You can search the list by: GP letter (code), description.
