Public Release Notes - Bridge 2.5.0

Public Release Notes - Bridge 2.5.0

About this release

Release date: August, 2025

This release brings key enhancements to the Bridge Desktop App, focusing on improved data import workflows and system stability:
  1. Role-Based Access: Permissions managed via Entra ID and Manage.
  2. New Import Feature: Direct import of ENHAX/NHAX files via Bridge Desktop App.
  3. Stability Improvements: Better handling of missing action references and updated logic for removed Noah actions.

1. WHAT'S NEW

Role-Based Access for Key Features

Import NHAX, Export NHAX, and Delete Noah features are now controlled through specific roles. These roles can be assigned via Entra ID or Manage, depending on your organization’s setup. Only users with the appropriate roles can access and use these features.

Import from ENHAX/NHAX Files via Bridge

Bridge now supports importing patient data directly from ENHAX/NHAX files, offering a more streamlined and user-friendly workflow for managing external data.
Info
Importing data from ENHAX/NHAX is only available when Bridge is operating in online mode

KEY CAPABILITIES
  1. Controlled Access via Permissions
Import functionality is governed by permissions that can be managed through Entra ID and Manage. This ensures that only authorized users can perform imports, supporting secure and compliant data handling.

  2. Direct Import of Small Files
Users can now import up to 10 patients at a time directly from NHAX/ENHAX files into Bridge, eliminating the need for intermediate tools and improving efficiency.

  3. Clear Import Feedback
A confirmation pop-up appears upon completion of an import, providing clear visibility into whether the process was successful or if any issues occurred.

HOW IT WORKS

Before You Start:
  1. The Import from NHAX/ENHAX option will appear under the Tools menu only if enabled in Bridge.

2.IMPROVEMENTS

Improved Handling of Missing Action References

An update has been implemented to enhance the stability of the Bridge application when dealing with missing or deleted action references. In the past, certain records could contain links to actions that no longer existed, which sometimes led to crashes or unexpected behavior. To prevent this, the following improvements have been made:
  1. Bridge API has been updated – it now excludes references to actions that are no longer available.
  2. Bridge Desktop App has been enhanced – it now handles missing references without crashing.

Improved Handling of Removed Noah Actions

The logic for managing removed Noah actions has been updated to ensure consistent system behavior and improved data integrity.
