Configure Patient Appointment Reminders - SMS/Email Notifications

Setting up Notifications:

  • Go to Configure System Settings > Patient > Patient Notifications
  • Select the Messages tab
    • Press Add
    • Name the message (e.g. Appointment Reminder)
    • Select the Short Message Service (SMS) option in the Type column
    • Press  in the Details column
      • Here you can add your desired message contents, use the Select Tag button to pull information from tags
    • Check the box in the Direct SMS column
    • Press Save
  • Select the Appointments tab
    • Here you can set the frequency, which lets you decide when the message will be sent (e.g. 2 Weeks before the appointment would be Frequency: 2, Interval: Weeks)
    • Select the message you set up (e.g. Appointment Reminder)
    • Select the Short Message Service (SMS) option in the Type column
    • Press Save
