View Active User Sessions - User control of locked Sessions; Inactivity Timeout 90 mins - 2 hours

There is an inactivity time out in Aurora, usually 90 minutes or 2 hours. If a user session is locked it may be because it timed out. It can be reset. Here is an overview of how.

A user can have up to 4 functions open on 4 different tabs in any one log in session.  Menu screens are not counted as a function, any number of "Menus" can be open on tabs. If they open a 5th function that uses up 2 user licenses.
If users have locked sessions, for example (eg) they can't open a patient because it is locked it could be open on another tab, or a dropped session due to inactivity. To reset this go to the Main Menu>User Activity Session. If you have permission to view all users, click the search option beside your initials to see all logged in users, and how many tabs they have open.
Click on the user with the complaint.
Find the session that is locked, click on it and delete it. If in doubt, ask them to exit all functions on all tabs then refresh the screen.

User Activity Session configuration - for Aurora administrators
To set permission to access a User's access to the User Activity Session, go to Configure System Settings>System>Application User and click down to SESSION RESTRICTIONS.

Maximum Sessions: Maximum number of sessions the user can have open at the one time. Note: this should never be more than 4.

They can also be given permission to terminate their own session or other users' sessions.

Terminate Sessions:

System default - ignore this setting and select from one of the following:

Own - only terminate their own locked session;

ALL - administrators/managers may be able to kill any locked user session - this is useful if the user can't log in;

None  - not allowed to unlock.

Click OK to close the SESSIONS RESTRICTIONS window.

Users given access to ACTIVE USER SESSIONS can view the User(s) session they have been given permission to and highlight and DELETE as necessary.  See Active User Sessions (SYSTEM MENU > ACTIVE USER SESSIONS) for more information.

Don't forget they'll also have to have it on their Menu (as set up in the Security Role menus)
